----------------THE THRILLS-----------------
Well, I love my family. Where would I be without them? I've been raised with the mindframe that family is the only thing that will keep you alive. In a way, it's true. Sure, every family has their up's and down's, but it always works out eventually. My parents have always been there, even if we don't understand each other sometimes. My brother and I definitely did not have the ideal childhood, but it's gotten a little better. Just a little. My family is also extended to my grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. I'm lucky to have them all...with their different personalities, different upbringings. I'm just grateful for having my family, because there are so many people out there that don't have a family there for them.
My friends. I love them all, old and new. I believe that you can't live without friends. Friends make things fun, interesting, and different. Everyone has different personalities and you learn so many things through different people. There's so many good memories. There's also some not-so-good ones, but those are just lessons learned. To my close friends, thank you for everything. You guys have been through a lot with me, and I say THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. I hope that our friendships will only grow. Who knows? We might see each other in 30 years and reminisce about old times in our granny and grampie potbellies and spectacles! Yea! That would be cool!
I love performing. It's one of the only things that makes me truly happy. It just feels good to be able to entertain an audience. One of the things I will neevr forget is what happened after the last spring concert last year(2003). I've never had the fancy-shmancy lessons alot of people have had since they were little. I've been involved in the performing arts as long as I remember. In elementary school, there would be Broadway plays put on that required so many tedious hours. I remembered 'Calamity Jane' and 'Give my Regards to Broadway'...I loved it. 4th and 5th graders putting on grown-up 3 hour plays, trying to act liKE we were passionately in love or something when we barely had a clue on what love was. It was alot of fun. When I'm cleaning the house, I'd stumble across the old videotapes of the plays and pop it in. It amazes me how well 4tha nd 5th graders can act and dance. Since the plays were musicals and elementary school kids don't really have developed voices yet, it would be taped recordings and the kids would lip-sync. It was good though. I give props to the director. I also started the violin in 5th grade but quit after 6th grade because teh orchestra in middle school shut down after 6th grade ended. But then in middle school, it was all about choir. There were two groups: band or choir. I was in choir since 6th grade until 8th grade. I loved 8th grade show choir. It was so much fun. Our shows were pretty creative and our director was a Barbara Streisand impersonator who worked in Vegas during the weekends so she really knew how to get us to be energetic and showy. Competitions were the highlight of choir. We did pretty good. Those were fun times. Now, in high school, I'm still in show choir and it is still fun, and yet kinda different from show choir in 8th grade. We work alot on reading music and learning stuff musically and then focusing on the show last. I don't agree with it sometimes but I've learned alot about music, which I'm grateful for, and plus, our director knows what she's doing. We do pretty well in competitions. I also like to dance, although I pretty much suck. I like jazz but am most comfortable with the dancing done in show choir. Those character shoes are a killer. The blisters we get are countless. I also like acting. I've never really been vying for the lead roles, but yea. It's just fun. I wish I could do everything junior year but because of the limited space on my schedule, I can only fit choir and drama in. It's an interesting year so far. I've been blessed to land the role I wanted in our school's fall production, 'The Servant of Two Masters'. Although it took up countless hours, I'm so glad I had the experience. Now it is musical season. Come watch 'Guys & Dolls' on March 25, March 26, April 1, or April 2!
I love the beach. I want to live by it, which is part of the reason why I'd like to be able to go to UCSD. The beach is so peacful and bautiful, but also alot of fun. The boardwalk is great. If I ever get to be rich, I will live right by the beach and learn to surf. WHOO!
I love Disneyland. I always get a nostalgic feeling when I get there. It always beings a smile to my face. Anybody wanna come with me for a Disney day?! (=
I like art. I like to draw. I've been drawing since I was little, but it was always a hobby. I've wanted to become an artist when I was in elementary school, but I've realized that I don't haev the patience most artists take to sit down and sketch for 3 hours straight. Heck, my drawings take 10 minutes and I get bored and uninterested if they take more. I also like making stuff, such as clothes. I used to sit down with a needle, thread, cloth, and hooks&eyes to make clothes for my Barbies. HAHA. I remember when some friends and I made Sailor Scout costumes for 2002 Sadies. That was great. HAHA. I also like decorating stuff and making collages, that sort of thing. Come see my room and you'll see.
I admire Lucille Ball. I've read her biography and she had a hard life and slaved her way up the Hollywood ladder, and became one of the biggest icons of American pop culture. She is the funniest actress I know, and I can sit down to an "I Love Lucy" marathon anyday.
I love 40s and 50s-inspired stuff including clothes (knee length skirts, polka dots, lacey gloves, etc.). If I could travel back in time, I would go to the 1950s.
I like to design webpages, as you can probably see. You can read more about this in the 'ABOUT' section.
I like Orlando Bloom. Those who know me say I'm practically obsessed. He's a freaking hottie. His accent is WOW. I was so sad when I found out I missed the "Pirates of the Carribean" premiere at Disneyland.
I like to read. I've always ben encouraged to read, but as computers took over everyone's lives, I've been reading less, unless it is for school. Still, I love the Harry Potter series, the Fearless series, magazines, and pretty much anything that strikes me interesting.
I love desserts. The best part of a meal is the end, dessert time! Ice cream rocks. I can do a nifty Cold Stone impression. Ask me and I will go "HiiII! Welcome to Cold Stone!!!" HAHAHA
I like movies. I can watch almose anything except for extremely gory stuff. Oh yea. I can't stand scary movies. *Shudder* I especially love musicals. Well, I accomplished my goal of going to New York but I didn't get a chance to see a Broadway musical. )= I was heartbroken, dude.
I like to eat. I can eat a lot. Give me Italian food anytime. California Rolls are my favorite, and I'm proud to say taht I can make them. HAHAHA.
I like to shop. But then, I AM female. I think most females like to shop. Take me shopping and I will be the happiest girl in the world. I don't like shopping when I have to though. If I have to look for something, I get iffy and stressed. Shopping is just for fun...to see what I can find. I like Abercrombie, Hollister, Forever 21, Express, Gap, Wet Seal, and Pac Sun.
I like to have fun. I hate being bored. I can be anywhere if I'm with friends...people's houses, eating, movies, somewhere shopping, Disneyland, etc.
